COTA in Therapy
Racheal Boyce
I am a certified and licensed occupational therapy assistant, COTA/L, with over 10 years of experience dedicated to improving the quality of life for my patients. I earned my degree from Kent State University at East Liverpool, where I developed a strong foundation in rehabilitative care and a passion for helping others regain independence and confidence. As the therapy manager at Bel Air Care Center, I have spent the last year working under the leadership of the Director of Rehabilitation, Krystal Hewitt. With a strong passion for patient care and rehabilitation, I strive to foster a supportive and effective therapy environment, improving patient outcomes. I recognized early on in my career the unique benefits that a therapy dog can bring to the healing process, which is why I pursued training to having a therapy dog of my own, Bodhi, my four-year-old German Shepherd. Together, we create a warm and supportive environment that harnesses the emotional and physical benefits of animal companionship. Whether through one-on-one patient sessions or daily walk throughs of the buildings, Bodhi and I strive to bring comfort, joy, and a renewed sense of hope to everyone we encounter. My main goal is to make a positive difference by combining professional expertise and heartfelt care, and I am proud to be a part of Bel Air Care Center's therapy team.
